RAMM's patented Flex Fence® coated wire horse fencing is a cost-efficient containment solution that has a break strength of 1,400 lbs per rail and will flex 6"-8" upon impact – keeping your horses and/or livestock safe! Constructed of Class-3, 12.5-gauge high-tensile wire for superior strength, RAMM's coated wire is molecularly-bonded to a coated copolymer (from a blend of proprietary polyolefin plastics), so the wire is trapped inside the plastic. These 5/16" diameter rails contain microbial agents and UV inhibitors to protect the rails from outside elements, so your fence never needs to be painted! There are two different options of Flex Fence® coated wire sold as 1320' rolls.
- Raceline – Raceline is non-electric and is backed by a 30-year LTD warranty.
- Shockline – Shockline is electric and is backed by a 20-year LTD warranty.
Both options can be used alone or in conjunction with other fence rails, such as Flex Fence®, wire mesh fence, and more to add safety and strength to your containment system.
Highlights:
- Rails will never splinter or break like traditional board or PVC fencing
- No stress marks if rail bends
- Rails never need to be painted
- UV-protected
- Made with pride in the USA!
Installation: It's recommended the rail spacing between the ground and the first rail can be 12", however, if there's smaller livestock involved (miniatures, goats, etc.) the rail spacing will need to be confined to 7" to prevent them from going under/through the fence. When installing your fence posts, because this is a high-tensile fence system, we highly recommend using diagonal brace plates to support the tension of the Shockline rails. Diagonal brace plates are the backbone of every great fencing system; they're used to attach brace posts to your corner, gate, and end posts. You can read more about the technique of installing your brace posts here. *Cleaning Tip: 50/50 bleach/water solution cleans the coated wire fencing back to brand new!
