Pre Crimp Mesh & Heavy Duty Wire Mesh
Dorstener Wire Tech’s pre crimp mesh and heavy duty wire mesh products are suited for applications that require strength and stability.
Wire, or space, cloth with a pre crimp mesh is woven using wire crimped prior to weaving. The crimps are made at the points the shute and warp wires intersect which secures the wire, thereby stabilizing the wire cloth and preventing the wire from moving. Additional rigidity and strength can be obtained by adding crimps between the intersections, using an intermediate crimp. Crimped wire provides a more secure fit to the mesh, limiting movement of the space cloth. This results in more accurate and consistent opening sizes within the mesh.
Pre Crimp Mesh & Heavy Duty Wire Mesh Options
Pre crimp mesh is used in the waste water, oil refining, mining, construction, safety and food processing industries for applications that require strength and large-hole filtering and screening. Pre crimped wire cloth is also used in architectural and industrial design applications.
DWT’s heavy duty wire mesh is custom manufactured for products and applications requiring strength and rigidity, such as sieves and vibration filter media for sizing, sorting and filtering heavy or large materials. Heavy duty wire cloth is used in the mining, refining and construction industries.
Pre crimp wire cloth and heavy duty pre crimp mesh are manufactured by Dorstener in large wire diameters. We offer a wide range of metals and alloys for use in the mesh to meet product requirements. All products can be manufactured using DFAR and non-DFAR compliant materials. Extra-wide roll widths are available.
