Insteel produces concrete pipe reinforcement ("CPR") for a wide
range of pipe sizes and types, providing circumferential structural
integrity for round, elliptical and arch reinforced concrete pipe
(RCP). CPR is manufactured to meet specific steel area requirements
for all RCP diameters, classes, and wall thicknesses, and may be
positioned and proportioned with combinations of inner and outer
cages, quadrant mats and alternate elliptical cages. Convoluted
(flex wire) CPR is available for large bell RCP. CPR is produced on
automatic welding machines for exact placement of circumferential
and longitudinal wires and is available in REGular wind (cross
wires outside) or REVerse wind (cross wires Inside).
We produce CPR using both smooth (W) and deformed (D) wire.
Smooth wire is manufactured to 65 ksi as a standard and up to 80
ksi if specified, while deformed wire is manufactured to 70 ksi as
a standard and up to 80 ksi if specified.
By producing CPR with exact steel areas and precise designs, we
can eliminate unnecessary stockpiling of steel materials and
oversteeling. Each order can be customized to meet the unique
requirements of your concrete pipe manufacturing equipment, thereby
eliminating waste. We also stock standard styles of CPR from steel
area .07 through .72 for immediate delivery. In addition, we can
provide engineering support and, in some cases, provide "pipe car"
analysis for "customer" and "engineer of record" approvals.
Our CPR products conform to ASTM A1064 (replaces A185 for smooth
welded wire and A497 for deformed welded wire).
