New Women’s Health Centre

Concord International Hospital opens a level dedicated to women’s needs.

 

Concord International Hospital (CIH) has opened its Women’s Centre which comprises of a level of facilities within its Adam Road premises. The multi-disciplinary service Centre has a team of specialists in breast surgery, aesthetic and plastic surgery, gynaecological surgery and minimally-invasive surgery. The Centre also includes medical oncologists and specialised nurses to handle patient needs.

The Centre aims to provide patients with comfort, privacy and high-quality medical and nursing care in an intimate and elegant setting. Besides being cared for by an integrated team of specialists and nurses throughout their journey, patients can also have procedures from screenings and treatments to post-treatment and reconstructive surgery conducted on the same premise. This patient-centred design and approach target to minimise waiting time; remove fear and uncertainty; and provide a positive care experience.

Renowned breast surgeon, Dr Ong Kong Wee is the head of the CIH Women’s Centre. His clinical interests include Sentinel Lymph Node Biopsy, breast conserving surgery and breast reconstruction for breast cancer. As part of CIH, the Women’s Centre will have access to clinical and technical support and consultancy for cancer diagnosis and treatment protocols from MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas, US.
